My 3 year old loves trains, so it stands to reason that he would love this book. I, on the other hand, did not enjoy this book. It's a simple story of a boy who loves trains and dinosaurs, and one night he finds himself on a train with dinosaurs. I didn't think there was much substance to the book, but my train-loving son was enthralled. I guess that's what really matters. At least, that's what I told myself as I read this story over and over and over again.
I am wondering if this book gave someone at PBS the idea for their show Dinosaur Train. I like to think it did, because it gives me a reason to like the book.
